This step-by-step guide will help you configure domain forwarding within Icemail, allowing you to seamlessly redirect visitors from one of your domains to another—ideal for branding, redirecting cold traffic, or consolidating engagement.
Domain forwarding allows you to automatically redirect traffic from one domain (e.g., yourcampaign.io
) to another main domain (e.g., yourcompany.com
). This is especially helpful when:
You want to preserve your sender reputation while redirecting engagement.
You’re using multiple outreach domains and want to funnel users to a central destination.
You’re running A/B tests on branded domains and need one endpoint.
Log in to your Icemail account and click on the “Domains” section in the left-hand navigation.
Find the domain you want to redirect. Click on it to open the domain details.
Click “See More” to expand the domain sidebar.
Then, go to the “Domain Settings” tab.
In the Domain Forwarding section, enter the full URL of the main domain you want to redirect visitors to (e.g., https://yourcompany.com
).
Make sure to include the full protocol (http://
or https://
).
Click “Save.” Your domain forwarding setup is now active.
All traffic to your chosen domain will now redirect to the main domain you specified.
DNS propagation is not required for forwarding—changes are effective almost immediately.
Forwarding works only for web traffic (not email). To forward emails, see our Email Forwarding Guide.
For branding purposes, consider using domain masking (see related article below).
