If your domain forwarding isn’t working as expected, work through this checklist to identify and resolve the issue.
Make sure the URL you’ve entered as the forwarding destination includes the full protocol prefix — either https:// or http://. A URL without the protocol (e.g. just "example.com") will not work correctly.
After entering the forwarding URL, make sure you clicked Save. If you navigated away without saving, the settings were not applied.
Domain forwarding in Icemail is for web traffic (HTTP redirects), not email forwarding. If you want to forward emails to a different inbox, that is a separate setting. Make sure you’re configuring the correct type of forwarding.
Browser caching can cause you to see the old behavior even after forwarding has been updated. Try visiting the domain in an incognito/private window, or clear your browser cache before testing.
Domain forwarding only works for domains that are fully connected to Icemail (managed via Cloudflare). If your domain hasn’t been connected yet, forwarding won’t function.
After setting up domain forwarding, SSL certificate provisioning can take 15–30 minutes. During this time, you may see a browser security warning. Wait for the certificate to be issued before concluding that forwarding is broken.
