Setting up a DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting & Conformance) email address in Icemail allows you to receive critical reports on your domain's email authentication health. These reports help monitor spoofing, phishing, and overall deliverability performance—especially useful when sending high volumes of cold emails.
DMARC is an email security protocol that works alongside SPF and DKIM to ensure that your domain’s emails are authenticated correctly.
By setting up a DMARC email, you:
Gain visibility into who’s sending emails on behalf of your domain
Get regular reports from mailbox providers (like Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft)
Prevent domain spoofing and improve inbox placement
Maintain a healthy sender reputation
Log into your Icemail account and navigate to the “Domains” section in the left-hand sidebar.
Click on the domain you want to configure. A sidebar with domain options will appear on the right.
Click on the “Domain Settings” tab within the sidebar to open your domain configuration options.
Find the DMARC Email field.
Enter an email address that will receive DMARC XML reports from various email service providers. This address should:
Be monitored regularly
Be capable of handling large volumes of data (e.g., dmarc-reports@yourdomain.com
)
Ideally forward to a mailbox dedicated to DMARC logs or integrated with a DMARC monitoring tool
Click “Save” once you've entered the email address.
