This guide walks you through the exact steps to configure Catch-All email for any domain in Icemail.
A Catch-All Email is a special mailbox that automatically receives all messages sent to undefined or non-existent email addresses under a specific domain.
Example:
If your domain isyourdomain.com
and someone emailsceo@yourdomain.com
(even though no mailbox called "ceo" exists), the Catch-All will receive it.
Log into your Icemail account and navigate to the “Domains” section from the left-hand menu.
Choose the domain for which you want to enable Catch-All functionality. Click on it to open the settings sidebar.
In the sidebar, click on the “Domain Settings” tab.
You’ll see a section labeled Catch-All Email.
Enter a valid email address under your connected domain that should receive all unmatched or misaddressed emails.
Example: catchall@yourdomain.com
(make sure this mailbox exists in Icemail).
Click “Save” to apply your changes.
You’ve now successfully enabled Catch-All email for your domain!
Don’t overuse Catch-All: While helpful, using Catch-All for high-volume domains can make spam filtering harder. Only use it when necessary.
Use filters or labels: Organize messages received by your Catch-All mailbox to avoid clutter.
Test it: Try sending an email to a fake address under your domain (e.g., random123@yourdomain.com
) to ensure it's routed properly.
