DNS (Domain Name System) records are essential for connecting your domain to key services—like cold email, landing pages, verification tools, or CRMs. With Icemail, you can quickly and easily manage these records right from your dashboard.
This guide walks you through the steps to manually add DNS records to any domain connected to your Icemail account.
What Are DNS Records & Why Are They Important?
DNS records map domain names (like yourdomain.com
) to online services (like email servers or website IPs). They're critical for:
Cold email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
Verifying ownership with third-party platforms (e.g., Google, HubSpot)
Tracking links or redirects
Setting up subdomains or services
How to Add DNS Records in Icemail

Log into your Icemail account and navigate to the “Domains” tab.
Step 2: Select the Domain
Click on the domain you wish to update. This opens the right-hand sidebar.
Step 3: Access Domain Settings
Click on the “Domain Settings” tab within the sidebar.

When to Use Manual DNS Configuration
You may need to add DNS records manually when:
Using a third-party cold email tool or CRM
Verifying ownership with Google, Microsoft, etc.
Setting up domain masking or custom redirect rules
Managing domains not fully delegated to Icemail (i.e., not using Icemail's nameservers)
