Managing your cold outreach infrastructure often includes retiring unused or outdated mailboxes. This guide walks you through how to safely delete mailboxes in Icemail, whether you're cleaning up your workspace or removing mailboxes no longer in use.
Deleted mailboxes cannot be recovered once the process completes.
Admin mailboxes trigger deletion of the entire associated workspace.
Ensure there are no unresolved mailbox errors before initiating deletion.
Log in to your Icemail account.
Navigate to the “Mailboxes” section from the left-hand menu.
Click on the mailbox you intend to remove.
This will open a detailed sidebar for that mailbox.
In the sidebar, click the “Delete Mailbox” button near the bottom.
A confirmation dialog will appear showing the mailbox details.
Click “Delete” to proceed.
The mailbox status will change to “Deletion in Progress.”
You can track the deletion under the Status column in your dashboard.
Scheduled Deletion: Deletions are queued and typically completed within 24 hours.
Mailboxes with Errors: If the mailbox has unresolved errors, deletion will fail. Please resolve issues first.
Admin Mailboxes Warning: Deleting a mailbox marked as Admin will also delete the entire workspace attached to it.
