Icemail makes upgrading your plan simple and flexible, offering two convenient options: Instant Upgrade and Scheduled Upgrade. Whether you're scaling rapidly or planning ahead, you can adjust your plan to suit your growing business needs.
Upgrade Options
Instant UpgradeUpgrade your plan immediately and unlock new features, mailbox limits, or performance benefits without waiting for the next billing cycle.
How it works:
You'll be charged only the difference between your current base plan and the new plan (prorated). The new plan is applied immediately, giving you instant access to the additional features.
Use Case:
Perfect for users who want to scale quickly, onboard more mailboxes, or unlock premium features right away.
Scheduled UpgradeSchedule your upgrade to activate on your next billing cycle—ideal for budgeting ahead or avoiding immediate charges.
How it works:
You won’t be charged now. The new plan will take effect on your upcoming billing date, at which point you’ll be charged the full price of the upgraded plan.
Use Case:
Ideal for users who want to upgrade later without interrupting current billing or workflow processes.
How to Upgrade Your PlanNavigate to Billing
From your Icemail dashboard, go to the Billing section in the left sidebar.
Select Active Subscription
Click "See More" on the subscription you'd like to upgrade.
Click “Upgrade Plan”
You’ll now see the available upgrade options.
Choose Upgrade Method
Select either:
Instant Upgrade (charged now), or
Schedule Upgrade (charged on the next billing date).
If You Choose Instant UpgradeA window will display the prorated amount based on the price difference between your current and target plans.
Click “Upgrade Now” to confirm.
Select your payment method:
Credit/Debit Card via Stripe
Icemail Wallet (if wallet balance is available)
Click Continue to finalize.
Your plan will be upgraded immediately after successful payment.
If You Choose Schedule UpgradeA confirmation window will appear. Click “Schedule Upgrade”.
Your new plan will be queued to go live on your next billing date.
In the Billing section, you’ll see the scheduled upgrade status and the exact activation date.
You may cancel this upgrade anytime before the scheduled date if you change your mind.
