Managing domains is a key part of setting up high-deliverability cold email campaigns in Icemail. Below are answers to the most frequently asked questions about domain integration and settings.
How many domains can I connect to Icemail?
There is no limit on the number of domains you can connect to Icemail. Whether you're managing one brand or dozens of outreach projects, Icemail is built to scale with your needs.
What are NS records, and why do I need to configure them?
NS (Name Server) records are used to delegate domain management to Icemail’s DNS system. Updating these allows Icemail to automatically configure important DNS settings for cold email deliverability — including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, and tracking records.
You’ll find the NS records provided inside your Icemail dashboard under the Domains tab. These should be copied and added in your domain registrar’s control panel.
How long does it take for NS record changes to propagate?
Once you update your NS records, propagation typically takes up to 24 hours, although it can be faster depending on your domain provider. During this time, Icemail will continue checking and notify you once configuration is complete.
Can I delete a domain from Icemail?
Yes, you can. However, to remove a domain from your Icemail account:
First, delete all mailboxes associated with the domain.
Once all mailboxes are removed, you’ll be able to delete the domain from your dashboard.
This prevents accidental data loss and keeps your workspace clean and accurate.
